I. Food Shaming (vv. 1-4)

  • Three Connections:
    1. Paul is redefining what it means to be people of God.
    2. Loving our   as ourselves
    3. Wording- “flesh” means a weakness of faith
  • We are to welcome those with   opinions. 
  • The issue of food - vegetables or any food?
  • We are not to pass judgement because we only one   God.

 

II. Special Days (vv. 5-9)

  • The view that certain days held special prominence
  • Not all days mean the same to all people in different cultures.
  • We need to have our convictions, but at the same time not   the convictions of others.
  • Our call is to   God in what we do or choose not to do.
  • We are ultimately   to God.

 

III. Judgement (vv. 10-12)

  • If it is not a matter of sin or of correct doctrine, why do we get all judges and  ?
  • God can take care of his people.
  • We are called to   each other by not judging others in matter of opinion
