About John (Mark 1:1-3, Luke 3:1-2, Matthew 3:4) 

1. John’s call is an old one-he was to   the way for the Messiah (Mark 1:1-3). 

2. John’s life and the gospel account were lent strength and   by Luke’s verifiable facts (Luke 3:1-2).  

3. John’s character (Matthew 3:4) 

  • He wore camel hair and leather garments. 
  • He ate locusts and honey. 

4. Application (Ephesians 2:8-10): We have been given a mission: to   the path to Christ through the message of the gospel.

1. Baptism - to change  , appearance or even relationships
