The Sower (Mt. 13:3)

  1. The sower is the one who   the seed.
  2. The sower spreads his seed  .
  3. The seed is the  , the gospel.
  4. We are to be   of the seed of the kingdom.

  Unfruitful Soil (Mt. 13:4-7, 19-22)

  1. The path
    • Hard soil that seed cannot  .
    • Birds eat seed that falls on the road.
    • The path is like the   of a person who hears the gospel but the seed won’t penetrate.
  2. The   ground
    • Shallow soil.
    • The plant may sprout, but the plant will  .
    • People receive the word and begin to grow, but when trials come, they fall away.
  3. The thorns: People who hear the word of God, but over time, their   for God and his word is choked out.

 Fruitful Soil (Matthew 13:8-9, 23)

  1. Good soil is like the heart of one who hears the word of God, the gospel, and they   it and   to it for salvation.
  2. Good soil bears much  .
