Easter 2024- The Power and Hope of the Cross
March 31, 2024
Today, we remember and proclaim the sacrifice that Jesus made at the cross in our place. This is an amazing story of love and sacrifice. As we remember the price that Christ paid for our sin, we have to remember something else. We have to remember that Jesus is not on the cross any longer. We also need to remember that he didn’t stay in the tomb either. He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death. It is this fact that gives power to the cross. It is the resurrection that gives power to the atonement.
This morning we are going to look at the resurrection. In doing so, we will see that it is central in our faith in Jesus Christ and we will see that the resurrection has wonderful results in our lives.
