Embracing God’s System (John 7:10, Luke 9:51-56)

1. Jesus goes to Jerusalem to  for his final days.
2. There are two groups not interested in  God’s Kingdom
3. The  had rejected God’s system and put one of their own in place.
4. When James and John suggest  , their attitude is a rejection of Jesus’ ethic of grace, mercy, and love.
5. The Samaritans and the disciples both  God’s system.
6. The natural person who has not been  by Christ, is living as their  nature would dictate.
7. The world is run by the  who desires the world to do everything in  to God and His system.
8. Followers of Jesus Christ have been illumed by the Spirit of God who  us resulting in:
   • regeneration
   • new  spiritually
9. God has given us an  from the corrupt system of the world.
10. We have been gifted with the God empowered ability to reject the system of the world and  the system of God.
11. Because we are attached to  bodies, we are left with “spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” syndrome.
12. If we take seriously our call to follow Christ, we will die to self and  for Christ.
