You Alone Are God: A Prayer to Model

As we look to the year ahead, we understand life will inevitably throw us curve balls and trials.  There is an art to living life, through the good times and bad, that pleases God but also brings us salvation and true joy.  That art is called wisdom, and as Proverbs says, it begins with seeking and fearing God.  So this week, we will look at what it means to seek God and seek His help by examining the pattern David gives in Plasm 86 where he seeks the only true God for his attention, care, love, mercy and grace to give him joy and salvation in time of need.  We'll look at how David does not look for help from within himself, or the nations around him, or other false gods, but to God alone by harkening to God's character and uniqueness.
