Doing Good (Matthew 12:11-13; Mark 3:3-5; Luke 6:8-10)

1. The Sabbath was created for the   of people.
2. God desires   rather than sacrifice.
3. Jesus desires that we live out the   of the law rather than the   of the law that is man-made.
4. God gives us commands because He desires that we have an   life filled with His blessing.

Conspiracy (Matthew 12:14; Mark 3:6; Luke 6:11)

1. The Pharisees meant to kill Jesus.
2. The Herodians
   • Were   to Herod and sympathetic toward Rome.
   • The Pharisees would have   them under usual circumstances.
3. Followers of Christ are born of God (1 John 5:1-5)
   • We show we love Jesus by   Him.
   • Because His commands are applied with mercy, they are not  .
