The Life of Christ series is a comprehensive study of the life of Jesus Christ, from before His birth to His last breath. Using accounts from all four of the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), we hear Jesus' teaching to His audience then and to us today.

Persecution (Matthew 10:16-23)

Jesus warns that he is sending them out into . (sheep in the midst of wolves)
Be wise like a serpent and innocent as a dove.
The = ungodly men.
Jesus is quick to comfort them; God himself will be with them.
We are not from difficulties as followers of Jesus.
Jesus’ message brings sharp division.
We are called to persevere, leading to salvation.
Jesus is calls us to be and pure, so that we can continue to to the lost.

Christ Likeness (Matthew 10:24-25)

To identify with Jesus means to the treatment he received.
Identification with Christ means:
- Repentance of sin.
- We turn to God and to his will.
- We are crucified with Christ.
- We are to ourselves to Jesus and his will.
- Our citizenship is in heaven
- We are to Jesus, by the gospel.
Life isn’t always going to be easy but we can expect Jesus to meet our needs in difficulties.
