Measure (Matthew 7:1-2; Luke 6:37-38)

  1. A strong  against being judgmental of others:
    • We need to reserve our judgments to make sure that we are seeing and understanding the circumstances  .
    • We need to be careful of  .
  2. The alternative:  
  3. Judgment is looking down your nose, but grace and   says I will stoop down and help you up.
  1. Specks and Planks (Matthew 7:3-5; Luke 6:39-42)
    1. Hypocrisy – When we   the faults, failings and struggles in our own lives and focus on the failings and faults that we see in others.
    2. This is where  , judgmental attitudes, and a critical spirit flourish.
    3. Methodology: Deal with our own sin, and then we are in a better place to help others with their shortcomings.
  • Dogs and Pigs? (Matthew 7:6)
    1. Be   when providing truth, even truth offered in love.
    2. Ask: Is this person   to hear?
  1. Conclusion
    1. It is not our job to judge or condemn others.
    2. Once we can see, we are then   to help others in their issues.
    3. Seek to minster to and   others rather than condemn.
    4. Allow God to use you to spur each other on to love and  .
